Before the installation, Douglas Mechanical, Inc. will assess your building to determine the correct unit size. While square footage helps, we must also consider ceiling height, window size, building layout, and number of occupants.

HVAC Installation Services

The installation process typically only takes one day to complete. However, the complexity of the installation can cause the process to take longer. For example, if this is your first AC installation, your home may require significant modifications. Likewise, if you have damaged air ducts, they may need repairs first.
For indoor installations, we may install new ductwork and air-seal those connections. If necessary, we will add new wiring and install or replace any lines that need it.
Once in place, we connect the unit to the ductwork. HVAC units sometimes require custom ductwork to connect correctly. Even a few-inch disparity can create a problem for the HVAC connection. We will also clean the existing lines and replace installation as needed.
For outdoor units, we may have to rework the copper line sets. Copper line sets include two copper lines, one larger as the suction line and a smaller liquid line. To install the unit, we will place the new system on a leveled pad and fit the refrigerant lines into the unit.
